Built by Collectors, Designed for Artists: Inside Needleworks Management
Hello everyone. I’m Brady the founder of Needleworks Management a complete and comprehensive booking and scheduling app. I started Needleworks as a way for me to be involved in the tattoo community. I’ve loved tattooing since I’ve been a teenager. I had tattoo books when I was a kid and wanted to know the history since I was very young. I’ve been getting tattooed since I’ve been old enough too. Needleworks started only a year ago in April of 2024, as a booking assistant company. I thought at the time it was the best way for me to be around tattooing but not be an artist. My ideas around Needleworks have evolved since then and I’ve learned a lot by going to conventions around the country, and speaking with different tattoo artists from around the country. I felt clients and artists shared the same stressors regarding booking and scheduling tattoos. Lots of back and forth, too many ways of communication such as DM’s, emails, work phone numbers, shop phone numbers, artist websites etc. What I learned from attending these conventions and speaking with artists and collectors a like was that there has to be a better way to streamline and organize all these methods to be more efficient yet cost effective for both the artist and the client.
Fast forward to now, and Needleworks has turned into an app. I’m currently working with a designer and some developers to be able to create a complete app that is both cost effective and solves the multitude of communication issues artists face. Let’s face it artists have to wear too many hats, between being tattoo artists they have to attend to their families, be office secretaries, content creators, photographers, draw, paint, be human beings. My goal is that Needleworks is able to streamline the booking process and give artists back full control over their schedule and their methods of communication when speaking with clients.
My plan for this site and blog is to grow as Needleworks grows. We are just starting this journey by collecting email sign-ups for the app pre-launch. Development is starting this summer and design work is being done as I write this. This blog will act as my way to communicate ideas and thoughts regarding my business and passion that I have for tattooing. There is plans for interviews and Q&A’s with artists and industry folks who want to participate in a new smarter way to book built from both sides of the needle.
